The Volkswagen Passat, launched in 1973. It is a mid-size as well a large family car manufactured by Volkswagen. Volkswagen Passat is a replacement of Volkswagen 411/412 and Volkswagen K70. It was also called with other names like Dasher, Santana, Quantum. Passat and the Golf were the first of new generations of Volkswagen productions which has new features like water-cooled engine, modern front wheel drive car and many more.
The first Volkswagen Passat and its Audi 80/fox were designed together and shares the same platform. Since 1973, it was one of the successfull, best selling and profitable car of Volkswagen production. Actually the original Passat was a small family car, but now it was grown in size and moved to the segment of large family size cars.
