Mitsubishi Evo is a Flagship sports car and Colloquially
known as Lancer Evolution. The Evo is a rally inspired, turbocharged, all wheel drive,
durable and finely tuned automobile and it is Based only on the
unibody of the domesticated Lancer sedan. The Roman numeral is the most
commonly used number designation of the model. For Mitsubishi's efforts in the World Rally
Championship's group A class, Evolution models prior to version V were the officially
approved models and also for SCCA Pro Rally Championship. The Mitsubishi Evolution
is based on the same platform as the Lancer in order to follow these rules, the
only major part in common between the Evo and the Lancer is the Unibody.

From 1993 to today, Nine street versions of the Evolution
have been produced. WRC homologation requirements are need not to meet by Evolution
versions V1, V11, V111 and 1X.
In 2003, Mitsubishi decided to export the eighth generation
Evolution to the United States after witnessing the success Subaru, It had in that market
with their Impreza WRX, a direct competitor in other global regions. In the World Rally Championship,
the Lancer Evolution was unique among its competitors. Lancer Evolution is a homologated
Group A car slightly modified against WRC class cars, and it is able to race competitively.
