| Lotus cars is very known and famous for designing and building
landmark race and production cars of extremely light weight possessing legendary

sports cars. By the influential engineer Colin Chapman, in 1952 the Company
was originally formed as Lotus Engineering Ltd.and it is based in East Anglia. In Hornsea, the company's
first factory was in old stables behind the Railway Hotel. From 1958 to 1994,
Team Lotus was active and competitive.At Hethel, Near Norwich, company
has occupied a modern factory and the road test facility since 1960.
