Information on Ferrari Cars
Ferrari symbolises power, speed and exclusivity. The Ferrari shop reflect these concepts and develop them in line with
Ferrari's dual identity: the competitive world of racing and and the sophistication of Berlina Cars.
Born in 1947, Enzo Ferrari had always produced vechicals at its current site and has maintained its direction. It has
progressively widened its range using visionary planning both on a design level and quality of work produced.
In fifty years of competition, The House of Maranello has disputed Formula 1, Sport, Prototype and Granturismo races.
Ferrari has competed in these events both in an official capacity and with private scuderias, taking the triumphant
Prancing Horse symbol aruond the globe.
To maintain its competitive edge, Ferrari, over the past fifty years, has created
4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 cylinder racing cars. This range has assured a constant transfer of advanced engineering to production
models. A large part of these cars still exists and contribute and unique patrimony to be cherished. In order to do this,
Ferrari has created a dedicated department "Ferrari Classiche".
The Prancing Horse single-Seaters continue to be raced thanks to the work of technicians and mechanics, highly-skilled
personnel able to work on formula 1 cars built from 1970 on. The cars are prepared for the racing on the world's most
prestigious circuits.
The Enzo Ferrari Casa Natale Foundation has been constructed in Modena. The Foundation has been set up to show
promote and conserve images, the history and the work of Enzo Ferrari. It also highlights the extent of socio-cultural,
technical and indutrial patrimony of sports automobiles, in which Enzo Ferrari was one of the key figures. Ferrari's whole
corporate identity was revised. One of the major changes was the "lightening" of the Ferrari name tag with more slender
lettering and a lengthened 'F'. Even the Prancing Horse was altered. The changes were made to the Prancing Horse to make
it appear more upright, stron and more dynamic.
