Introduced in the early 70's Chevy camero was launched by Chevrolet Motor to compete with Ford Mustang and since it was also compact like the others of that range it came to be known as pony car. The body of camero was similiar to that of other General Motors models having F-Body platform and had a history of being the favourite for almost 30 years as small American car. But the production of these cars were stopped in 2002.
The 2000 model of Camaro had very strong points as compared to the earlier versions, having a powerful 285 bhp engine capable of reaching 60mph in less than 6 sec. Even though it had more advanced and powerful features it was not priced very high and hence it was popular since the consumer could afford more powerful car at the price of an ordinary looking home car. It had a history of producing a better models everytime some changes were made with the new version having more features than the older one.
