Wilhem Maybach and his son karl founded the company Maybach - Motorenbau GmbH. In the begining they were german manufacture of engine for zepplins and later on then made large and luxurious automobiles. Maybach stands top for their magnificent tradition of producing excellence of cars with the star,along with paying tribute to that great genius of auto design Wilhelm Maybach, who has developed the first Daimler cars and whose name in the '30s embellished as Germany's largest luxury car.Between 1921 and 1941 Maybach produced a total of 1800 cars. In addition to the vehicles recorded in the company's statistics, another five to ten exhibition cars were built a year. Today, 152 Maybach cars still exist across the world.

Maybach come back as a brand in the early 2000 under the direction of Mercedes-Benz and their produce a new model in two variations ? the Maybach 57 and the Maybach 62 (the numbers are equal to the lengths of the automobiles in decimetres). These two models are priced to directly compete with top-of-the-range Bentley and Rolls-Royce automobiles. In 2005, the new 57S was added providing a sporty image with a more powerful engine and cosmetic touches.
